Rippe & Kingston Launches Contract Management Software
Rippe & Kingston recently launched e.ssential Contract Guardian, a new contract management application that runs on the System i, among other platforms, and can help eliminate the reliance on paper for the handling of contracts. Contracts are notorious for generating copious amounts of paper. Keeping the lawyers out of the process might save a forest-worth of trees, but then again, that could lead to another paper-intensive process: filing and defending lawsuits. To keep all parties happy, Rippe & Kingston, a product development and consulting shop that specializes in LANSA tools, launched last month the new e.ssential Contract Guardian, a new Web-based contract management system designed to keep track of many elements of the contract management process. e.ssential Contract Guardian, which was written in LANSA, helps users accomplish a number of tasks, including: scanning and storing contract documents in a searchable centralized database; locating previously saved contracts; and sending e-mail alerts for events such as contract expiration. With e.ssential Contract Guardian keeping track of your contracts, you can expect to minimize the risk of non-compliance by reducing payments on expired contracts, maximizing revenue collections, and eliminating the risk of missing warranty expirations or maintenance requirements. But the new Web-based system will really shine in reducing or eliminating the paper chase for compliance purposes, according to John Siniscal, president of LANSA Americas and a close partner of R&K. “Moving paper contracts into a searchable database will ensure they are available and accessible for contract administrators and others responsible for their performance,” Siniscal says. “Manual filing systems are an accident waiting to happen, which companies can’t afford in the current regulatory environment.” e.ssential Contract Guardian runs on System i, Windows, and Linux operating systems, or can be delivered as a hosted application.
