Terrible’s Hotel Casino in Las Vegas recently implemented the IBM i-based Stratton Warren System (SWS) application from Agilysys and soon expects to see improvements in the management of its inventory and procurement activities. SWS (formerly MMS400) is a suite of inventory management applications designed for large hotels and casino resorts that cater to tens of thousands of guests and manage relationships with hundreds of suppliers. The software, which runs exclusively on the IBM i operating system, is often deployed alongside other IBM i hospitality apps, including the Lodging Management System (LMS), which Agilysys also obtained in its 2003 acquisition of Inter-American Data (IAD). Affinity Gaming, which owns Terrible’s in addition to 10 other properties in Nevada, Missouri, and Iowa, previously used the SWS application at three other properties in the Southern Nevada region, including Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino, Primm Valley Resort & Casino, and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel & Casino. “We have used the Stratton Warren System for many years at our three Primm Valley properties and have been impressed with its wide range of features and functionality,” Dan Wilson, vice president of information technology at Affinity Gaming, said in a press release. “The system helps us obtain the most favorable prices on everything from linens to soft drinks, which, in turn, enables us to maintain a competitive edge,” he continues. “With our recent implementation at Terrible’s Hotel Casino, we look forward to realizing additional benefits and cost efficiencies from expanding the reach of the system.” RELATED STORIES Agilysys Signs New Vegas Casino to IBM i Software Deal Agilysys Narrows Losses on Uptick in Sales in Fiscal Q1 SurroundTech Helps Agilysys Move Hotel App to Azure Cloud Agilysys Goes GA with New Windows-Based PMS for Hotels Agilysys Tapped for CityCenter Project in Vegas, Reports Numbers
