Artificial intelligence is often a hot topic in the news, making it a regular item in the articles we feature here in Monitor. But in an interesting twist, Alain Bénichou, CEO of IBM’s Greater China business, said that in China, which is considered a world leader in AI, while AI adoption is higher than the global average, it is still not as high as expected. This is not to say AI, or the news about it, is going anywhere, but it does give some food for thought about the difference between innovation and real world application.
