EDI and B2B integration software developer EXTOL International recently announced the establishment of relationships with three new business partners, including Effective Data, Primeur, and Melissa Data. The partnerships are expected to widen the breadth of services available to EXTOL’s largely IBM i-oriented customer base. Melissa Data is a provider of cloud-based data quality tools, which EXTOL customers now have access to through the new partnership announced last month. According to Pennsylvania-based EXTOL, its customers can now use Melissa’s services to cleanse, validate, and enhance their data as it’s being transformed, which will better enable customers to perform customer segmentation, targeting, fraud detection, and identity verification. “Anytime you’re migrating data from one source to another, cleansing and enriching the information allows better results as the data moves forward into the enterprise,” says Gary Van Roekel, COO for Melissa Data, which is based in Orange County, California. “EXTOL and Melissa Data are solving this data quality challenge for the business user by offering integrated processes that simplify data quality operations from step one.” The partnership EXTOL established in May with Primeur will provide EXTOL customers with better integration to the Italian company’s managed file transfer (MFT) software, Spazio, which is widely used in Europe. With Spazio hooked up to EXTOL Business Integrator (EBI), customers can feel comfortable knowing all their file movements are being tracked. “With this joint solution, we have an enhanced file governance system that can be used to identify all of the file operations in your network,” says Luca Musso, chief technology officer at Primeur. “Our customers will be able to ensure data quality and delivery with a complete, audit-ready view of every file.” Meanwhile, the partnership EXTOL established in April with Effective Data brings together two like-minded EDI specialists. Based near Chicago, Effective Data has been providing data integration and consulting services for its customers’ EDI projects since 1991. Effective Data president Tim Wightman says the partnership joins two companies that have similar attitudes toward customer service. “The combination of EXTOL’s software and Effective Data’s integration expertise will make for a powerful team,” he says.
