TomorrowNow Says Biz is Booming, Opens Mexico Office

While it may be at the center of a lawsuit between database and ERP software supplier Oracle and its own parent company, SAP, over the alleged theft of proprietary information concerning the support of Oracle’s ERP suites, TomorrowNow says that the business of providing third-party support for Oracle’s software is booming. Specifically, TomorrowNow, which provides support for J.D. Edwards, Siebel, PeopleSoft applications from Oracle and Baan applications from Infor, said that business has doubled in the first quarter of 2007. While the company did not provide precise revenue figures, it did say that it signed 76 new deals in the first quarter, including 31 new customers and 45 renewals for support contracts. Compared to the first quarter of 2006, TomorrowNow says that it has doubled its client base worldwide to 310 customers. “We see continued demand in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific for TomorrowNow’s superior service at a 50 percent discount,” explained Andrew Nelson, president and chief executive officer at the company. TomorrowNow also announced last week that it has opened an office in Mexico City in an effort to expand its business in Mexico. The company said that it has hired Ruben Laguna, who has worked at the Mexican operations of software companies JDE, i2 Technologies, and BearingPoint, to head up its offices in Mexico. And the first thing he did was bang on the price/performance drum. “In Mexico, industries need better maintenance and support services from their enterprise software vendors,” Laguna said in a statement. “TomorrowNow offers companies solid, dependable support at lower costs. Our existing clients throughout Mexico welcome TomorrowNow’s approach to keeping their systems current while providing them with excellent customer service at an affordable price.” TomorrowNow has 10 customers in Mexico right now, and it is supporting PeopleSoft, JDE, and Siebel suites.
